How to use the JPG to PDF tool

  1. Select your images or drop them onto the box. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos all work.
  2. Put the pages in order with the ↑ and ↓ buttons, or click Sort by name.
  3. Choose the page size (A4, US Letter, or the same size as each image), orientation and margin.
  4. Click Create PDF. One PDF with one image per page is downloaded.

Why turn images into a PDF?

A single PDF is much easier to handle than a pile of image files:

  • Applications and forms often ask for documents as one PDF, such as ID scans, certificates or proof of address.
  • Sharing: one attachment with pages in the right order beats ten loose photos.
  • Printing: PDFs print at the right page size with consistent margins.
  • Archiving receipts, notes and whiteboard photos in one searchable place.

Page size options

Option Size Use it for
A4 210 × 297 mm Documents in most of the world
US Letter 8.5 × 11 in Documents in the US and Canada
Same as image Matches each photo Photo albums, slides, screenshots

Orientation set to Auto gives landscape photos a landscape page and portrait photos a portrait page. Margin adds white space around each image, which looks better when printing documents.

Tips for document scans

  1. Photograph each page flat, in good light, from directly above.
  2. Crop away the table or background.
  3. If the PDF must be under a size limit, run the images through Compress Image at around 70% quality before creating the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I combine several JPGs into one PDF?

Add all the images at once, arrange them in the order you want, and click Create PDF. Every image becomes one page of a single PDF file.

Which page size should I choose?

Choose A4 for most countries, US Letter for the United States and Canada, and 'Same as image' if you want each page to match the photo exactly with no white space.

Will my photos be rotated correctly?

Yes. The rotation stored by your phone camera is applied, and in Auto orientation, landscape photos get landscape pages.

Can I scan documents with my phone and make a PDF?

Yes. Take a photo of each page, crop out the background if needed, then add them here. Choose A4 or Letter and a small margin for a document-like result.

Is there a limit?

You can add up to 100 images per PDF. Very large photos make larger PDFs; resize or compress them first if the PDF needs to be small.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is created inside your browser, which matters when the images are ID cards, receipts or other personal documents.
